This will be a short diary, something of a rant, without impressive research or links, the sort of diary that elicits the derisive remark "should have just been a comment!" Forgive my ego, but I think it's an important point, deserving of more attention than a comment generally receives.
We hear, over and over, people calling for negotation, how the I/P problem can only be solved if the two sides sit down and negotiate. This is absurd. The very concept of negotiation is meaningless in the I/P context.
